Privacy Policy
Effective 25 October 2026
For Youtube Project (“the tool”) is a private tool its owner uses to publish videos to the owner's own YouTube channels. It uses YouTube API Services. By using it you also agree to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google user data the tool accesses
With the permission given on Google's sign-in screen (the scopes youtube.upload and
youtube.force-ssl), the tool:
- uploads videos, thumbnails and caption files to the signed-in account's channel;
- reads the status of those videos (privacy, upload and processing state) and the channel's name and ID.
It does not read other people's data, comments, subscribers, analytics or any data outside the signed-in channel.
How the data is used
Only to publish the owner's own videos and to check that publishing worked. The data is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train AI models, and not shared with or transferred to anyone.
Where it is stored
The tool runs on the owner's computer. It keeps a Google refresh token there, in a file that is never uploaded anywhere, and a small record of each published video (its ID and dates). Nothing is stored on a server operated for this tool.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: myaccount.google.com/connections (or security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Deleting the token file on the owner's computer removes the stored token. Videos on YouTube are managed in YouTube Studio.
